Habitat Home Store

Habitat Home Store

303 Simpson Road E. Lenoir City, TN 37772 (865) 988-7427, option 1

How It Works

In operation since 1995, the Habitat Home Store is a major source of funds for building Habitat homes in Loudon County. The store is staffed almost entirely by volunteers, so overhead expenses are very low, allowing most of the funds raised through sales to go directly to house building.

The Store provides a source of reasonably priced new and used clothing, household items, tools, and furniture for area families and for others who purchase items and then pass them on to a family that is in crisis or in need of a special helping hand, as well as the general public.

We welcome your donations of gently used furniture, large and small working appliances, clothing, books, dishes, cooking utensils, flatware, towels, bedding, drapery, decorative items, baby beds, car seats, high chairs, toys, tools, yard maintenance equipment, office furniture and equipment, and other such items. A truck is available by appointment to pick up any large donations.

The store is located in Lenoir City, just off Highway 321 near Burger King. The street address is 303 Simpson Road East, Lenoir City, TN

How You Can Help

One of the reasons we are able to raise enough from Home Store sales to build one or two homes a year is that we have so few paid staff working in the store. Most of the staffing for our Home Store is covered by volunteers who give their time and energy to serve our customers. Many of these volunteers have a specific day of the week and number of hours that they donate each week.

If you would like to volunteer some of your time to work in the Home Store, even if it is only one or two hours a week or one or two times a month, we can use your help. Just call Christy Callahan at (865) 988-7427, Option 1, and let her know your availability.

We would love to have your help and you will see firsthand how important the store is, not only to our building program, but to your Loudon County neighbors who have come to depend on an affordable shopping experience at our Lenoir City Home Store.
