Dear friends,
The recent flooding caused by Hurricane Helene has brought immense devastation throughout this region. Many have been displaced and the challenges ahead are overwhelming. In true Loudon County form, this community has responded immediately by pulling together critical resources and coming to the aid of our neighbors. That same commitment will be needed in the years to come.
The first priority is to ensure efforts are channeling to have maximum recovery impact for those in immediate need. Habitat for Humanity’s role will be to help with the long-term recovery. Thousands of homes need to be repaired and rebuilt.
Please continue using the existing donation channels to provide critical support for the immediate disaster response efforts. As we start to examine and plan for the long term, please consider donating to one of the links below as they are serving as regional support for the communities and Habitat affiliates impacted.
Keep sending your prayers and support for those who have suffered loss and displacement. Your involvement is not only appreciated but crucial.
Blessings,
Tony
