Loudon County Habitat for Humanity (LCHFH) is applying for Housing Preservation Grant (HPG) funds with the Rural Housing Service (RHS), a Rural Development agency of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA RD). LCHFH’s purpose with these grant funds is to perform critical home repairs for seniors and individuals with disabilities who reside in low and very low-income households within Loudon County.

Pursuant to 7 CFR part 1944, subpart N, the proposed Statement of Activities and project objectives are available for public review and inspection. Individuals wishing to review the intended use and the statement of activities, or provide comments regarding whether LCHFH should receive these grant funds, may do so by reviewing the documents at the address below, Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM or by contacting Tony Gibbons:

Public comments will be accepted from August 12, 2026 through August 31, 2026. The deadline to submit a support letter is August 31, 2026.

LCHFH’s request is for a competitive application process under the USDA RD’s HPG program. This action is taken to comply with USDA RD regulations. LCHFH is a nonprofit Christian housing ministry that brings affordable housing solutions for low-income families. LCHFH abides by EOE and federal fair housing regulations.
